Hi there, and welcome to my portfolio! I’m Bridget, a graduate of Professional Writing and Japanese from Michigan State University. That means I love writing, language, and communication. I’m an editor by trade, but first and foremost I’m a reader, and a lover of good stories.

I grew up reading Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and the Moomin books, eventually moved up to YA like Tamora Pierce’s Tortall stories and Scott Westerfeld’s Leviathan series, and some of my recent favorites have been Uprooted and The Magicians (no spoilers! I’m only on book two!).

I love to travel, which is why I moved from my hometown of Portland, Oregon to Michigan for college, and spent a year living and studying abroad in Hikone, Japan. But home will always be with me. The image at the top of this page is a drawing I made of Mt. Hood, which is visible from almost anywhere in Portland throughout the year.

These days I’m on the lookout for the next adventure. I hope to move someplace new and put my skills to work as an editor, writer, and designer.

I believe that everyone has a story to tell, and that there’s somebody else who needs to hear it. I’d love to help your story reach those people and make an impact on the world.
